Frequently asked questions

Is this QR code generator really free?

Yes. Every feature, including logos, colors and SVG downloads, is free. The site is supported by ads.

Do the QR codes expire?

The QR codes are static, so their encoded data does not expire or depend on our servers. A linked website or WiFi network can still change or become unavailable.

Can I change the link after printing?

Not with a static code. If you think the link might change, point the code to a page on your own website that you can update later.

Can I use these QR codes for business?

Yes. You can use them on menus, packaging, business cards, flyers, signs and ads at no cost.

Why won't my QR code scan?

The most common causes are low contrast, a logo that is too big, or printing it too small. Use dark dots on a light background, keep the logo small, and print at least 2 cm (0.8 in) wide.

Which format should I download?

Use PNG for websites and social media, SVG for professional printing and large signs, and JPG when a tool doesn't accept the other formats.
